Impact resistance and polymerization performance of surface coatings on aluminum profiles

March 08, 2024

The impact resistance of aluminum extrusion profile, s tested using an impact tester, and the quality of the coating is evaluated by determining whether a fixed mass hammer falls on the aluminium profile sample, causing coating damage. This experiment is applicable to the determination of the impact resistance of paint films. For electrostatic  powder coating films on the surface of aluminium construction profiles this experimental method can be referred to. The polymerization performance of organic polymer coatings is checked using organic solvents to determine whether the coating is completely cured, and polymerization tests are also known as solvent resistance time. The polymerization test can be used as an online control for coatings to check whether the curing effect of organic polymer film coating on aluminum profiles has been completed during production.
